It’s a rare diver who hasn’t felt the urge to dive deep. As a general rule, divers tend to be adventurous people, and deep diving – whether to visit a wreck or take photos – can certainly be called adventurous. It’s only natural that like most divers, you have some interest in deep diving.

It’s common sense that with greater depths come more potential hazards. However, not all deep diving hazards are obvious; the untrained and unaware diver may not recognize them. Proper deep diving techniques manage these hazards, but even trained recreational deep divers face unacceptable risk if they descend below reasonable limits.

As PADI Deep Specialty Instructor you will be able to teaches the techniques that make recreational deep diving safe and fun. You’ll be able to teach how to do deep diving within limits, and how to stay within them. Your will improve skill and ability of divers as they practice deep diving techniques. they will find PADI Deep Diver training opens the doors to new dive sites and new adventure, especially when combined with other interests like underwater photography, wreck diving or observing underwater organisms.

Learn to Teach PADI Deep Diver Specialty Course

As a PADI Specialty Instructor you will be able to offer your students the opportunity to take PADI Deep diver specialty course.

PADI Deep Diver Specialty Instructor course gives you the necessary knowledge and skills to teach the PADI Deep Specialty to student divers, which is one of the most popular list of PADI Specialty courses.

During the PADI Deep Diver Instructor course you will learn how to teach divers to use the necessary equipment needed to support deep diving activities and encourage correct deep diver protocols in following time and depth limits.

To enroll to PADI Deep Specialty Instructor Course

You must be, 

• Be at least a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor or currently participating in or have completed an IDC/OWSI Program within the past 12 months.
• IDC/OWSI candidates may apply for Specialty Instructor certification only after successfully completing a PADI IE.
• Medically fit to dive.

The course consists of two sections:

1. Knowledge Development
2. Open Water training – 2 Deep diver training dives

During the knowledge development section, you must complete the following:

• Present a knowledge development presentation from the PADI Deep diver specialty manual by prescriptively teaching a missed question from the knowledge review.
• Review & understand the purpose and goals of the PADI Deep diver specialty course.
• Review & explain the Deep Diver course standards and procedures from the PADI Specialty Course Instructor Guide and list all student and Instructor equipment requirements.
• Demonstrate mastery of all knowledge development.
• Describe how to conduct all course segments in a manner that enables divers to meet course performance requirements.
• Participate in a marketing and promotional workshop where you will learn techniques to promote the Deep specialty diver courses to your students and the public.
• Participate in a pricing workshop.

During the the Open Water training, you must complete the following: 

• Demonstrate mastery of all water skill performance requirements for the Deep specialty diver course over 2 dives.
• Conduct an Open Water teaching presentation from the Deep diver specialty diver course.
• Demonstrate all Deep diver specialty diver Open Water performance requirements.

Upon completion of all the course performance requirements, you will receive the PADI Deep Specialty Instructor certification.
